If you go to order Heart of Midlothian's first programme of the 2024/25 season online you are out of luck for they are sold out.

That's because the club have produced a very special bumper issue that has understandably proven popular with supporters from three clubs keen to get their hands on the issue, as well as programme collectors.

Supporters attending the club's friendlies against Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon and Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night will get the chance to buy the two-in-one, limited edition 100-page A4 programme.

The club wanted to mark the fixtures which make up part of the 150th-anniversary celebrations with a unique product.

Both games are represented by their own front cover with the one for Saturday's match paying tribute to both Hearts and Leyton Orient and the sacrifice players made for their country in World War One. The Tottenham Hotspur cover is adorned by Hearts players past and present, including Dave Mackay as well as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

The half of the programme for the Orient fixture features a tribute to McCrae's Battalion and other units plus an in-depth feature from Gary Cowen on the connection between the clubs and the First World War. There is also a pertinent look back at a fixture with Celtic in August 1914.

In addition, chief executive Andrew McKinlay has penned a programme note and there is an interview with Frankie Kent, plus the usual Junior Jambos section and a check-in with the latest from the B team and Women's team.

Flipping over and going through the Spurs half of the programme sees a programme note from Steven Naismith and a big interview with Blair Spittal and quickfire questions with fellow new signing Daniel Oyegoke.

There is, as expected, plenty of content around the connection between Hearts and Spurs, from previous matches, such as the meeting in the Europa League, to memorabilia. There is an interview with Donald Ford who played against Spurs in 1974 in a match celebrating the club's centenary and, of course, a feature on the one and only Dave Mackay, a legend at both clubs.

This limited edition programme, packed full of must-read content, is a must-buy available for £6 around Tynecastle Park and in the clubstore ahead of both fixtures.
