With interviews we don't want to be restricted by word counts. We want to provide players and staff, present and future, with space to breathe and tell their stories.

Analysis

Hearts Standard is fortunate to partner with StatsBomb, an industry leader in football data. It allows our writers to provide background, context and analysis around players and games. We watch every Hearts game twice before delivering in-depth analysis of how the game unfolded and why. We use Wyscout to analyse tactical decisions and the minutiae such as how the team defend and attack set-pieces.

We believe there are a lot of fans that want to find out more about how the team is playing and why they are playing certain styles or systems. We try to explain why it did or didn't work out.

Our partnership with StatsBomb also aids in analysing individuals such as the impact Frankie Kent has had on the team.

In-depth features

Because we don't chase clicks, the subscription model allows our writers to spend time on stories. To seek out and speak to key figures. A 5,000 word deep dive on Lawrence Shankland's career is not something you are likely to read elsewhere or speaking finding out about Ricardo Fuller's time at Hearts through the eyes of the people who coached him and played with him.

We also want to do more to look at different areas of a football club. For example, the process of the 150th anniversary kit, from start to finish. We want to scratch below the Hearts playing field with stories of what happens behind the scenes.

Opinion

Hearts fans are a diverse bunch when it comes to judging the team, the manager and players. It is a quality which makes the club and fanbase all the more fascinating. There are so many different views and beliefs. Our opinion pieces won't always, or ever, have every fan agreeing. But we will put across points and views we believe in, while offering context as well as alternative views.

As well as being led by our subscribers in terms of what we discuss, we also hope to direct the narrative and help in providing a platform for Hearts fans to discuss and debate everything about the football club.

In addition to all of the above, we will of course provide coverage from every game and all the latest news and reaction from press conferences.
