Heart of Midlothian are seeking a 50-50 ticket allocation split for their Scottish Cup semi-final tie against Rangers.

The draw for the last four of the competition was made last night following Hearts' 1-0 victory over Morton at Cappielow. 

Aberdeen were paired with Celtic, as the Jambos drew Rangers in the following tie. 

Both games will take place at Hampden during the weekend of April 20 & 21, with the finer details of the fixtures yet to be announced. 

It's understood that Hearts chiefs will put forward their case with the Scottish FA for next month's showpiece game to have an even split of supporters inside the national stadium. 

It's believed all four clubs will meet with the SFA to discuss the plans regarding allocations over the next few days. 

And it's here that Hearts will make it known they want 50 percent of the tickets. 

It comes just months after the Tynecastle side was left furious that the SPFL did not allow for an even split for their Viaplay Cup semi-final against the same opponents in November. 

Hearts were only afforded 20,000 tickets for that game- with Aberdeen then receiving the same amount for the final of the tournament a month later against Rangers. 

It's said that Dons chiefs will wait to hear what the SFA's proposed plans are before making their stance over allocations known.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen have been tipped to appoint a foreign manager for only the second time in their history after bringing in renowned German specialist Bernhard Peters to carry out a review of their football set-up.

The cinch Premiership club released a statement yesterday revealing the BPTC consultancy group which is headed by Peters had completed its audit and produced a report which will “assist in the recruitment of a new first team manager and the addition of a new technical director to support the director of football”.
