Heart of Midlothian-bound Yan Dhanda helped ensure Ross County's Premiership status meaning he will return to Dingwall at least once next season.

The Staggies defeated Raith Rovers 4-0 at the Global Energy Stadium on Sunday afternoon, taking their aggregate victory to 6-1 in the play-off final.

Dhanda scored five and assisted five during the Premiership campaign before scoring in the first-leg on Thursday. He set up Jordan White's goal on Sunday.

"When I knew I was going and my contract was coming to an end I spoke to the manager and said my main job was to keep Ross County up," he told Sky Sports.

"I've contributed to that and this club deserves to be in the Premiership. I'm looking forward to coming back here."

Dhanda will join Hearts this summer following a pre-contract agreement during the season. He will arrive alongside Blair Spittal and James Penrice from Motherwell and Livingston respectively, as well as goalkeeper Ryan Fulton.
