Heart of Midlothian have confirmed the signing of Musa Drammeh, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.

The 22-year-old forward arrives after leaving Spanish side Sevilla and has signed a three-year deal. He will wear the No.37 with 'Musa Drj' on the back.

Described by Hearts as an "imposing... pacey attacker", Drammeh is capable of playing out wide or through the middle in attack. He was born in Barcelona and holds Gambian citizenship.

He told HeartsTV that he had "a lot of offers" but conversations with Steven Naismith convinced him his future lay at Tynecastle Park.

"The moment I talked with the coach, they explained the project with this club and Edinburgh, Scotland, I loved it," he said. "That was my decision to leave Spain to come to Scotland."

Naismith believes the 6ft2in forward, who spent two years with Sevilla's second side, will add "something different" to the Hearts attack.

“Musa is an exciting young talent with loads of positive attributes," he told the official Hearts website. “He’s quick, physical and direct, and he’ll offer us something different going forward.

“He’s got a real appetite to learn and we believe we can help develop him into a top player.

“We’ve got real competition in our forward areas now and the experience in there is something Musa will be able to lean on, which will allow him time to settle.

“I’m sure he’ll fit into our group really well and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Drammeh becomes the club's fifth summer arrival following James Penrice, Ryan Fulton, Blair Spittal and Daniel Oyegoke.
