Heart of Midlothian are urging supporters to get involved in a ‘spectacular parade’ before the team’s first pre-season friendly against Leyton Orient later this month.

The Maroon Mile Procession, organised as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations, will start at the Haymarket War Memorial and conclude at Tynecastle Park.

The ‘unmissable event for Hearts fans of all ages’ will feature 150 pipers and drummers leading supporters along the Maroon Mile, and Leyton Orient’s ‘O’s Bugle Band’ will also join in the celebrations.

Once the march reaches Foundation Plaza a selection of bands will entertain the crowd, including a performance of the Hearts Song by Tynecastle High Pipe Band, before supporters take their seats inside the stadium for a first glimpse of the team ahead of the new campaign.

Fans interested in attending are being asked to assemble on Morrison Street from 12.45pm on Saturday 13 July, with the game scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
