Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has performed hits from the band’s debut album in front of enraptured fans at Trnsmt.
The look of the day was a St Andrews flag wrapped around an Oasis T-shirt, which was adopted by many young fans.
Others wore black-and-white Adidas football shirts branded “Gallagher” on the back.
Trnsmt fans ranged in age from pre-teens to middle-aged at the festival on Glasgow Green.
Rapper Example, who released his first album in 2007, won the hearts of the crowd who broke into chants of “No Scotland No Party”.
Gallagher opened his set with Rock’n’Roll Star, and fans joined in for a singalong of Half The World Away.
He belted out Shakermaker and also performed Married With Children, both from Definitely Maybe.
Dressed in his trademark parka, he used a maraca to create the vibe which won Oasis legions of fans in the 1990s.
Gallagher finished with a Beatles cover – I Am The Walrus.
Garbage performed a lively set including Only Happy When It Rains, and Stupid Girl, with Shirley Manson wearing a tartan dress.
She addressed the crowd, saying: “Our first record was released in 1995 before most of you were born.”
She dedicated a song to Siouxsie And The Banshees, and said they inspired Garbage in the 1980s.
She commented on the number of pink cowboy hats in the crowd, and said: “Taylor Swift has taken the music industry and made it her bitch.”
