Heart of Midlothian Women have announced the appointment of Paschalis Xanthos as Eva Olid’s No.2.
Xanthos joins from Everton in the Women’s Super League, where he initially worked as an under-16s coach before becoming the lead performance analyst for the first team. Prior to that, he worked in MK Dons’ academy and had a spell as the manager of the women’s under-23s side.
He replaces Gavin Beith, who left his role as assistant manager last week to pursue an opportunity abroad.
“When looking for a new assistant, it was of course important not to drop the high standard that Gavin Beith had set in the role,” Olid told the club website. “The one thing I was sure that I wanted was someone with experience in the professional game.

“Pascal has exactly that. He’s spent time with Everton Women and within their academy. I could see in our interview that he has very good tactical knowledge and has similar ideas to myself.
“His ability to analyse matches will be a big help for me and I am sure he will help us to achieve our objectives this season.”
Hearts Women will fly out to Spain next week for a warm-weather training camp ahead of the new SWPL season kicking off on Sunday 11 August with a trip to Queen's Park.
