Heart of Midlothian have been drawn away to Falkirk in the last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup.
Steven Naismith’s side were given a bye for the group stage and enter the competition in the first knockout round, while Falkirk – who won the League One title under former Hearts boss John McGlynn last season – pipped Premiership new boys Dundee United to top spot in Group B, picking up nine points.
The last-16 tie will be played at the Falkirk Stadium on the weekend of 17 August, with the final date still to be confirmed.

Hearts reached the semi-final of the League Cup in Naismith’s first full season in charge before losing 3-1 to Phillipe Clement’s side. The Gorgie outfit last lifted the trophy in 1962.
