Heart of Midlothian have confirmed the dates of their Europa League play-off round.

Steven Naismith's men were drawn against the winners of the third qualifying round tie between Ukrainian side Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih and Czech outfit Viktoria Plzen. The first-leg of that tie will be played on Thursday evening with the return leg in Czechia the following Thursday.

Hearts will play their play-off round fixtures on August 22 and 29.

The club have confirmed they will be away from home on August 22. If Kryvbas defeat Plzen over two legs, the fixture against the Ukrainians will be played in Slovakia where they face Plzen this week. 

Hearts will host the second leg at Tynecastle Park on the 29th.

Kick-off times are yet to be decided with the club encouraging fans "not to book travel yet".

Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih

Founded: 2020

Manager: Yuriy Vernydub - The 58-year-old had a playing career that was spent mostly in Ukraine but he finished his career with Russian side Zenit St Petersburg. He has had management success, leading Shakhtyor Soligorsk to the Belarusian Premier League and Sheriff Tiraspol to two Moldovan league titles. During his time with Sheriff he led them into the Champions League group stages for the first team and masterminded wins over Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk. He was appointed Kryvbas boss in 2022.
