Steven Naismith has revealed Andres Salazar is fit and ready to be involved - but Frankie Kent will miss Heart of Midlothian's Premier Sports Cup clash with Falkirk.

The Colombian defender signed a loan deal from Atletico Nacional on Thursday.

"He's fit and available," Naismith said. "Fitness-wise, all the testing, he's not one that's going to need to be built up, he's ready to play.

"I'll expect him to contribute in the coming weeks, for sure. He's a really good guy to get signed and from the small amount of time we've worked with him, you can see his quality."

Kent has a toe infection and will sit out Saturday's match along with Beni Baningime and Calem Nieuwenhof

"Frankie Kent is the only one [out]," Naismith said, "so he will be missing.

"No, it's not serious. He has damaged his toenail which is one issue but it's got an infection in it that is the main issue that is stopping him from training."
