The first Edinburgh derby of the season between Heart of Midlothian and Hibs will be broadcast live on TV.

Sky Sports have confirmed the details for the fixture at Easter Road next month with the game on Sunday, October 27 given a 12pm kick-off.

The fixture had already been rescheduled from the Saturday to the Sunday due to Hearts' European involvement.

Steven Naismith's men take on Omonia Nicosia three days prior at Tynecastle Park in the team's second fixture of the league phase of the Conference League.

The Edinburgh derby will be followed by a midweek league game against Kilmarnock at Tynecastle on Wednesday, October 30.

Hearts and Hibs met only once at Easter Road last season due to the Leith outfit failing to make the top six in the Premiership. Lawrence Shankland netted the only goal in stoppage time to seal the three points for the Gorgie side.
