A brand-new series of Married at First Sight UK (MAFS) returned to E4 last night (September 16), with two couples becoming the first to get married – including Kieran Chapman from the North East.

The 2024 cast will be hoping experts Paul C Brunson, Melanie Schilling and Charlene Douglas have found them all a perfect match as they marry a complete stranger.

Over the next few weeks, brace yourselves for drama and chaos as they put true love to the test, from their honeymoon to moving in together.

But let’s find out a bit more about Kieran, the Geordie who lives with his dog Hugo.

Who is MAFS UK star Kieran?

Kieran is a 28-year-old mechanic and circus performer from Newcastle.

During the first episode, MAFS fans saw Kieran become one of the first grooms to tie the knot with his new wife, Kristina Goodsell, 30 – a dog walker from East Sussex.

Before the launch show, a teaser clip of Kieran trying to pull off a risky joke at the end of the aisle had been circulating on X.

The prankster was seen wearing fake teeth as he smiled at Kristina when seeing her for the first time, moments before they said “I do” in the hopes of her finding it funny.

This left viewers eager to see her reaction when the show aired.

Luckily for him, a surprised Kristina was soon in hysterics when she realised his bold teeth were fake.

On Monday’s episode, Kieran also opened up about past relationships where he revealed he was left heartbroken after an ex-partner cheated on him with his best friend.

This made Kieran think he would never be able to trust anyone again.

But could his broken heart now be fixed? Sharing a post on Instagram earlier today (September 17), Kieran said having Kristina as his wife is “the best feeling ever”.

In a caption alongside one of the couple’s wedding pictures, he wrote: “Having this incredible woman hand-picked to be MY beautiful bride is simply the best feeling ever. Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, our day from start to finish was gorgeous, funny and most of all FULL to the brim of love.
