Neil Critchley has provided an update on Beni Baningime as the midfielder trained ahead of Heart of Midlothian's Premiership clash with Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old has missed the last two games due to illness.

There was positive news as Baningime is back in training after being sent home on Saturday ahead of the Edinburgh derby. However, it is not certain he will be involved against Killie.

"Beni trained today," Critchley confirmed. "He was back in, so it was nice to see him.

"He's done a full training session, so we have to think about whether he's done enough. He's not trained now since last Wednesday, which is nearly a week. We have to think whether that's enough for him to be included tomorrow."

Yutaro Oda, Calem Nieuwenhof and Gerald Taylor all remain out.

"Yutaro is still a few weeks away," Crithcley said. "Calem is similar. Obviously, Gerald is a longer-term one, but everyone else is A-OK at the moment."
