Heart of Midlothian made seven summer signings as the club strengthened in defence, midfield and attack, while supplementing their goalkeeping ranks also.

Of the 12 Scottish Premiership sides, only St Mirren signed fewer. But the players Hearts did recruit filled in areas which required attention.

Michael McGovern replaced Ross Stewart as the club's third-choice goalkeeper, while Frankie Kent and Odel Offiah were added to the defence. Calem Nieuwenhof was brought in as another central midfield option with Alex Lowry providing more creativityon loan from Rangers. Kenneth Vargas and Kyosuke Tagawa were signed to complement the likes of Lawrence Shankland, Liam Boyce, James Forrest and Yutaro Oda in attack.
